Terms of service

These terms are the agreement between you and JimmyLlama (Pty) Ltd, trading as CuePaid, registration number 2024/337412/07, South Africa ("CuePaid", "we"). By creating an account you agree to them. Our privacy policy explains how we handle information.
What CuePaid is
CuePaid is a quoting, invoicing and gig admin app for DJs, singers, musicians and bands. It is for businesses and adults. You must be 18 or older to use it.
CuePaid helps you prepare and share your own quotes and invoices. Your clients pay you directly, by EFT or however you agree with them. CuePaid never collects, holds or handles money between you and your clients, and takes no commission.
Free trial
Every new account gets 30 days free with full access. We may ask for a card when you sign up so there is no break when the trial ends.
Price and billing
- CuePaid costs R199 every 30 days, with unlimited quotes and invoices. Reading screenshots has a fair monthly allowance, shown in the app under Settings.
- JimmyLlama (Pty) Ltd is not VAT registered, so R199 is the full amount with no VAT added.
- Card payments are processed by Paystack. CuePaid never sees or stores your full card number.
- To check a new card, we may charge R1 and refund it straight away.
- If you add a card, your first R199 is charged when your trial ends, then every 30 days after that. We email you at least 7 days before the first charge.
- We send you a receipt for every payment. On your bank statement it shows as CuePaid.
- If we change the price, we tell you by email at least 30 days before it applies to you.
If a payment fails
We email you and try again over the next 7 days. You keep full access while we try. If it still has not gone through, your account becomes read-only: you can see and download everything, but not create new quotes or invoices, until you update your card and pay.
Cancelling
Cancel any time in Settings. There is no notice period and no cancellation fee. You keep full access until the end of the 30 days you have paid for, and no further charges are made. After that your account becomes read-only, and your data stays yours to download or delete.
Refunds
- We do not give partial refunds for the unused part of a 30-day period.
- If you were charged but have not used CuePaid since that charge, ask within 7 days and we refund it in full.
- If we charged you in error, we refund it in full.
- Ask in the app under Settings, Contact support, with the date and amount. Refunds go back to the card that paid, usually within 5 to 10 working days depending on your bank.
Your account and your data
- Keep your login to yourself. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
- Everything you capture (clients, jobs, quotes, invoices) belongs to you. You can download it or delete your account at any time from Settings.
- Your quotes and invoices are your own business documents. You are responsible for their content, for your own tax and VAT, and for keeping records for as long as the law requires.
Fair use
Do not use CuePaid for anything unlawful, to send spam, to upload harmful code, or to try to reach anyone else's account or data. We may suspend an account that does, and will tell you why.
Keeping CuePaid running
We work hard to keep CuePaid available and your data safe, but we cannot promise it will never be interrupted. If we ever close CuePaid, we will give you at least 30 days' notice and time to download your data, and stop all charges.
Liability
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses such as lost bookings or lost profit, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 3 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms takes away any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act, the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act or other law that cannot be excluded.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the new version will be posted here with a new date. Big changes will be emailed to you at least 30 days before they apply.
Law
These terms are governed by South African law.
